Finalist for the Baker Artist Awards / new video premiere

I’m excited to announce that I’ve been selected as a finalist for a Baker Award! I’ll be showing work Saturday, April 19 – Saturday, May 24 at Current Space along with the other interdisciplinary and fine arts finalists.

I will premiere SpplyChainShrutes2 (6:02 min), an expansion of a commissioned piece originally created for Small Mart in New Orleans back in 2022. The original work was inspired by a moment when more items on the menu were unavailable than available, which led us to develop a digital “anti-menu” listing everything that couldn’t be purchased. Now, as we enter a new period of imposed scarcity, I’m revisiting these themes through a new iteration, further exploring disrupted consumer habits and digital waste.

I’m also showing a few mirrors…
